Cookies and Local Storage
Does Pitch & Pack use cookies?
As of November 6, 2026, the site does not set cookies. Nothing on Pitch & Pack is used to track you across websites or to show you ads.
What the site uses instead: local storage
A cookie is a small piece of data that a website asks your browser to keep. The browser sends it back to the website with later requests, so the website can recognize you.
Local storage is also a small space in your browser, but it works differently. The data stays on your device and is not sent to the server when you open a page. Only the site’s own code running in your browser can read it.
Pitch & Pack uses local storage for two things, both to remember your choices:
- pp-theme: the theme you picked, light or dark, so the site opens the way you left it.
- pp.planner.v1: your Planner settings and the items you have checked off, so your list is still there when you come back.
The first item saves you from switching themes on every visit. The second saves you from entering your trip details again and checking off the same items twice.
Neither item is sent to us. Neither is used for advertising or tracking. For more detail, read the Privacy Policy.
How to delete it
- In the Planner: press Reset to clear your settings and checkmarks.
- In your browser: open the privacy or site settings, look for “cookies and site data” (some browsers say “site data” or “storage”) and remove the data for campspro.com. This deletes both items.
Private or incognito windows usually discard local storage when you close them. If you delete the data, the site keeps working. You only lose your saved theme and checklist.
If this changes
If Pitch & Pack ever adds ads or analytics that use cookies or similar storage, this page will be updated, with the new date, before they are turned on.
Questions about cookies can go to [email protected] or to the contact page.
