Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Pitch & Pack collects, what stays on your device and what choices you have. The short version: as of November 6, 2026, the site has no accounts, no ads and no analytics tools. It collects only what you choose to send through the contact form.
What the site does not have
Pitch & Pack has no user accounts and no sign-up. You do not need to give any personal information to read the guides or use the Planner. The site does not run ads, and it does not use analytics tools that measure or follow visitors.
Information stored in your browser
The site saves two items in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). Local storage is a small space inside your browser where a site can keep settings on your own device.
- pp-theme: your choice of light or dark theme.
- pp.planner.v1: your Planner settings, such as trip type, nights, people, season and cooking method, and the items you have checked off.
This data stays on your device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it. The Cookies page explains how local storage differs from cookies.
Information you send through the contact form
The contact form asks for your name, email address, a subject and a message. When you send it, the information goes to a script on our server. The script forwards it by email to [email protected].
We do not save form messages in a database. The email stays in the team’s mailbox. We use it to read and answer your message, and to check an error if you reported one. We keep it as long as we need it for those purposes. We do not add your address to a mailing list and we do not share it.
Please do not include sensitive details, such as health information, in your message.
Server logs
Like most websites, the server that hosts Pitch & Pack may record standard technical information in logs. This can include your IP address, your browser type, the page you asked for and the date and time. Logs are meant for running and securing the site.
Fonts, photos and outside sites
The fonts and photos used on Pitch & Pack are stored on the site itself. Loading a page does not make your browser contact another company to fetch them.
Some pages mention or link to outside sites, such as government agencies, Recreation.gov or Pexels. When you follow a link, you leave Pitch & Pack. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle information.
We do not sell personal information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
Children
Pitch & Pack is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Your choices: access, correction and deletion
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Because the site has no accounts, the only personal information we may hold is what you sent through the contact form, along with our reply.
To make a request, email [email protected] from the address you used and say what you want. We may ask you to confirm that the request comes from you before we act on it.
How to clear the data stored in your browser
- In the Planner: press the Reset button to clear your settings and checkmarks.
- In your browser: open the privacy or site settings, look for “cookies and site data” (some browsers call it “site data” or “storage”) and remove the data for campspro.com. This clears both items listed above. The site then follows your device’s light or dark setting, and the Planner starts empty.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles information, for example by adding analytics or ads, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect. Past versions are not kept on the site, so check the date at the top when you return.
